Finding critical minerals is U.S. national priority, but current assessment workflows are too slow to scale. In this DARPA-funded project with USGS, InferLink developed a system to extract structured data from lengthy mining reports using large language models. This session details our multi-step pipeline that include identification, extraction and normalization. It will include discussions on the challenges of applying LLMs to messy, domain-specific documents at scale.
