Marlene is an Academic Researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology with an MSc in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Since graduating, she has specialized in statistical and machine learning techniques. Collaborating with colleagues, she developed an LSTM model to forecast government expenditure in the federal student aid program, enhancing financial projections and supporting data-driven policy decisions for the German government.
