Bio:

Maximilian Beck is a fourth year PhD at the Institute for Machine Learning at Johannes Kepler University Linz advised by Sepp Hochreiter. He has obtained his bachelors and masters degree in Mechatronics and Information Technology with focus on Control Theory from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in 2017 and 2021. In 2021, Maximilian Beck got accepted as an ELLIS PhD at JKU Linz and works currently on efficient recurrent Large Language Models with sub-quadratic complexity, such as the xLSTM.
